Who we are

Shadows & Whispers; partner site to You’ll Need A Nightlight Podcast. We also have some partners we work with from time to time: You’ll Need A Nightlight Podcast (NAN podcast), Legacy Investigations, and a few law enforcement agencies (a little too many for this space) where we also get information about cases.

Comments

We do invite you to use the methods on the site to reach out to us; questions, suggestions, corrections, joining the staff, wanting a specific topic to be researched? Yuppers, we’re all for that! [email link]

Media

Uploads: If you want to show us something (image, vid or something else) please upload it somewhere and send it to us via link, if at all possible, thanks!

Cookies

The only cookies that are used is for us to eat during research, and the basic ones that pretty much any website uses; nothing special about ’em here. Just remember: keep your computer safe and we are not liable for you visiting other sites that may be linked on the site.

Embedded content from other websites

Alt websites: Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. You know, the basic usual stuff.

Who we share your data with

Sharing Info: We do not share information with any other entity, unless we are legally required to by documentational demand from a legitimate court judge.

How long we retain your data

Timeframe of retaining info: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

What you can do: If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

A Heads Up|For Our Protection: Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service or other malware/virus detection application. Hey, we don’t want your or our files to be corrupted. Makes continuing working on episodes and cases happen a lot more smoothly, right?
